Australian Magazine Sprinter reported that BizPrint PNG has installed the first EcooGraphix Computer-to-Plate (CTP) system in Papua New Guinea, demonstrating the Asia-Pacific region's advancement in prepress technology for printers.
The installation involved replacing an obsolete and failed CTP system with the new EcooSetter T400 CTP, enabling BizPrint PNG to resume plate production. By integrating the new CTP with BizPrint's existing Xitron RIP, this upgrade was delivered without the need for extensive workflow changes or additional software investment.
BizPrint PNG executive general manager Bryan Wareing said, “The installation and training went very smoothly, and we were back to producing plates within two days. Reusing our existing RIP system made this a very practical and cost-effective solution for our operation.”
