Direct Print in Morocco is a very large and sizable top creative printing solution provider. They produce high‑end creative printing on paper packaging, rigid boxes, stickers, labels, flexo packaging, art books, and more. It is a well‑known high‑end printer in Morocco and North Africa. Creative features and value‑added embellishments are important to their product portfolio. Conventional embellishments require high volumes and a long plate‑making process for varnishing, foil stamping, and other effects, and designs are limited. Direct Print has been looking for innovative technology and has been studying digital ways of embellishment for a long time.

Case and result

In September 2024, a representative from Direct Print saw EcooSpark for the first time at the Label Expo Show in Barcelona, Spain. They were impressed by the performance and quality of the varnishing and foil stamping, in particular the very detailed fine lines and small texts, their quality and precision, and all achieved digitally. Since then, they have been studying and comparing suppliers and options in the market. After more than one and a half years of investigation and detailed comparison among all suppliers in the market, they placed an EcooSpark order with EcooGraphix, which marks a milestone as the first EcooSpark installation in Morocco, and likely the first such machine in the country.
